About Us
Since 2002 when Kelly completed her degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare she has worked solely within the animal industry. A qualified dog trainer, behaviourist and hydrotherapist she has spent the past 12 years as a college lecturer. Specialising in covering all aspects of Canine health, training, behaviour and Small Animal Rehabilitation at FE and HE level she is totally passionate about everything to do with dogs! Kelly has also spent 15 years running training classes, behavioural consultations and developing courses and seminars on training, behaviour and welfare of dogs.
Her real passion has always been dogs and anything canine related, this coupled with her own dogs needing hydrotherapy for orthopaedic conditions led her to train as a hydrotherapist. She has since been working at another well-established hydrotherapy centre in Yorkshire and also continued her studies in Veterinary Physiotherapy.
Kelly’s dedication and passion for working with dogs led to her being asked to join the board of Directors for the Canine Hydrotherapy Association (CHA) in 2016 as an Education Advisor, something which she is extremely proud of. We feel that this recognition shows her true passion and commitment not only to this industry, but to ensuring your dog receives only the best treatment!
Kelly was also previously the Chair of the Canine Hydrotherapy Association so you can be certain any dogs coming to us are in safe hands.

Helen - BSc Hons, Level 3 Cert
After graduating from the University of Hull with a BSc Hons in Animal Behaviour and Training in 2014, Helen began her career within Canine Hydrotherapy. She completed her Level 3 Certificate in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals, and spent 4 years as a Senior Hydrotherapist in the North East, before returning home to join the team at Yorkshire Canine Therapy Centre. Helen enjoys working with a wide range of patients, from fitness and sports conditioning, to severe neurological patients, and everything in between. She has a particular soft spot for the senior patients, helping them regain function to be able to enjoy their golden years comfortably. She also prides herself in using her Animal Behaviour background to ensure even the most nervous of patients can access hydrotherapy in a relaxed setting, to achieve the most effective treatment for each individual. Helen operates her Hydrotherapy sessions on a very relaxed basis both for the patients and their owners. She gives each dog choices, and listens to the signs they're giving her, so that she can ensure they're comfortable during every part of their treatment. Helen always welcomes owner participation, and is happy to answer any questions you may have! Helen lives with three of her own geriatric dogs: 15 year old Lady the invincible but naughty terrier cross, 13 year old yellow Labrador Tinker (you will undoubtedly be shown multiple photos of her, Helen is certifiably obsessed), and Doug the 11 year old Working Cocker Spaniel who is simply a Very Good Boy.
